Photography has been a lifelong passion, inspired by my father’s early enthusiasm in the 1950s. He showed me the magic of light and shadow, igniting my passion for capturing interesting images.

As a child, I delved more deeply into photography. Through my teens the interest grew stronger. Encouraged by a professional in 1970 commenting favourably on my work, I almost pursued a career behind the lens.
However, my path took me into design and technology, blending software engineering, interaction design and usability engineering with architecture and industrial design – fields that also fascinated me, that I loved doing and being a part of.
Yet, photography remained my constant passion. Now, I present a collection born of curiosity, observation and reflection.
A Tapestry of Inspirations
Influenced by masters like Steve McCurry, Ernst Haas, Vivian Maier, Ansel Adams, Cartier-Bresson and Saul Leiter, my work marries colour, spontaneity and emotion. My photography explores several genres:
- Documentary Photography: Capturing candid moments that reveal the authenticity and spontaneity of everyday life in urban and rural settings, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
- Landscape and Seascape Photography: A study in light and shadow, reflecting the natural world’s grandeur and subtle beauty.
- Street Photography: Portraying the vibrancy of city life and the depth of human emotion. In streets, cafes, and other public spaces, my images narrate compelling stories of joy, sorrow, love, resilience and the human spirit.
